TORONTO DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD MASONRY REPAIR PROGRAMME

Four schools owned and operated by the Toronto District School Board required significant building envelope upgrades, mostly related to deteriorated masonry, historic windows, flashings etc. James Bailey Architect working with Jokinen Engineering Services conducted a comprehensive masonry condition audit. The scope was then determined, based on priorities and tender documents were prepared for the repairs. MORE >

As the needs were great, and the funds limited, not all the specified work has been completed, however, work required to stabilize the buildings has been realized.

Two additional projects – North Toronto C.I. (now entirely redeveloped) and Park Avenue Road (now Bishop Tutu) were beyond available resources of the TDSB.
